How to help
Volunteers
Volunteers are always needed at the Animal Home, Clough Road, Hull. There are many volunteering roles e.g. helping with the animals, becoming a Meeter and Greeter in reception, helping at events, collecting at Hull Fair and the Flag Day, becoming a Home Visitor or a Trustee of the charity. Application forms are available for all of the above at the centre, by post or by clicking here.
We ask for the names of two referees, preferably one being your employer or a teacher and the other someone who has known you, but not a relative. To work with the animals you must be over 16 for insurance purposes and over 16 to help with collections. Sometimes our waiting list of volunteers hoping to work with the animals is so long we may ask you to help in other areas first until a vacancy becomes available.
Volunteers are vital to the work we do in the Hull and East Riding area and we would like to hear from you.
Contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Sarah Clarkin for help or advice, please call her on; 01482 343875 Monday – Friday 9.30am –1.30pm.
